RILEY & SONS HIRES CHRIS EDWARDS TO RUN OPERATIONS
Dave Driggers, co-owner of Riley and Sons, announced today the addition of Chris Edwards as Operations Manager. Chris is a fifteen year management professional with experience in both the automotive and mechanical engineering industries.
Chris Edwards is no stranger to Riley & Sons having worked for them in the early 2000s. Since his time at Riley's, Chris has been busy building an impressive managerial resume and obtaining background and work experience in engineering. He has an extensive background in performance improvement and Six Sigma while working for such companies as Guide, Lear Corp and Keihin as an engineering manager. As part of his duties, Chris has been responsible for growing new facilities from the ground up creating processes to provide seamless services throughout the growth and development phase. He currently supervises 100+ employees.
“This experience along with Chris' keen interpersonal communication, successfulness in coaching and facilitating employees, and his past relationship with Riley & Sons makes him the right choice for this position”, says Tim Riley, principal owner of Riley & Sons.
When pressed for his reason for making the switch from a larger corporation, Chris cited two main reasons, "I wanted to get back to what I loved the most, and that's cars and working on them. I also wanted to get back to a place where my vision for always reaching for the best performance could be realized. For me, there is no better place to do that than Riley's.Dave and Tim's vision for excellence and always pushing for the next best benchmark compliments my push for reaching higher goals”.
Chris will be responsible for the day to day operations of all locations allowing Tim Riley and Dave Driggers, Riley co-owners, to focus on expansion into other markets. He will report directly to Dave Driggers who has been overseeing operations for several years.
Dave cited the need to insert an experienced professional to maintain Riley's exemplary service model as he directs his attention to growing the brand. In speaking about Chris, Dave Driggers, Riley's co-owner said, "Chris is exactly the kind of automotive professional that we were looking for to run operations for all of our locations. As we expand, it is very important to Tim and me that we maintain the same level of customer service and quality throughout our service lines. We want to duplicate in other Indiana markets what we have achieved in Anderson, Pendleton and New Castle. Chris is the right person to help us achieve those expansion goals. Chris will be a fantastic addition to our already great staff.”
